Tell that to the massive amounts of internet lemmings who insist on shutting it off because they think they are smarter than Windows development Engineers. In the end I should have no reason to fiddle with the paging file in the first place. I see absolutely no reason why leaving it on auto would cause the game to crash much less cause a memory leak.
It allows Windows to grow and shrink the page file as necessary, which avoids issues with it simply running out of space when you have a fixed pf which is too small or no page file. So its either not play the game or not follow false instructions.

Maybe you simply have too much other crap running which leaves not enough resources free too.Īlso my paging file was originally set to automatic prior plus as Warner Bro stated to keep it on automatic on their forum update :/ This caused the game to crash due to mem leaks. the game itself is not the only place a leak can exhibit (Windows 8 WDM has a known leak condition which tends to manifest when running games). There could be other reasons for the behaviour too which may or may not be the game's own fault. That said, there is a general consensus that the game may be using more memory than some feel it should. That's just not something anyone can diagnose through forums. Also, we don't know if there is a memory leak or if there is, if that is the cause of your problem. It's not "false advertising", people need to stop saying that. I learnt that the game was trying to use 11+ GB and would crash as I have only 8GB of rammĪs you can see in this image its using way the over the amount I have the fix was simple this game has a similar issue like Arkham City. First off I'm using a R9 290 4GB, 8GB Ram and a FX-8350 and I've tried starting the game having to watch the intro cutscene over and over.
